I feel this article is getting to the heart of the matter of living well in an essentially unpredictable world. The Anthropocene answer is to try and nail it all down. To nail down life within some arbitrary parameters of 'safety'. This requires various tactics of command-and-control, everything from tight laws criminalising dissent, to economic wage-slavery, to school indoctrination subverting the inner world of young impressionable minds - funneling people into psychological gulags. In other words, it requires violence to the human soul.
Is there any hope? Is there a genuine alternative?
Yes there is. The inner world is also a dynamic system where small events have far-reaching unpredictable consequences. The approach of Synchronosphy is to trust the forces of (inner) life with a special appreciation of negative experiences, which, when understood through the lenses of the eight faculties of the mind, produce beneficient unpredictable changes in both our inner and outer worlds. That is our true power. No middle-men and no 'pills' required. But a good map and a wise guide are certainly welcome.
Yes there is. I believe there is. If we can understand that and how the forces and phenomena of the universe are the same forces and phenomena within our inner world. 💖🙏
“What we do know, and can predict with relative accuracy, is the trajectory caused by the anthropocentric worldview. Clinging to predictability and order ~ with the alleged intention to eliminate unpredictability and chaos ~ this outdated paradigm is promoting the current decline of our manmade world into self-destruction… hurtling us all towards chaos at increasing speed.” I feel the urgency of this paragraph in my own work with the chronic illness community; a population of humans rich with insight for the potential within limitation, but so very silenced by our society’s view of their inherent value, except to be fixed.
I feel that urgency too. We are all ‘unfixed’ in some ways. My (limited and relatively mild) experience with chronic illness has taught me that we are all ‘chronically ill’. We have all been trained to neglect who we are and fit into some external role, which is literally unhinging us.
And then, instead of listening into ourselves to find some guidance, we are pushed towards finding ‘external solutions’ which basically don’t exist! Everyone who is dealing with any kind of suffering at a personal level should be encouraged to become their own expert (which we already are!)
The potential within limitation! Exactly. This is what leads to new insights and discoveries, because it calls us to go deeper (rather than looking for general 'one size' solutions, which don’t really fit anyone.)
The irony is that a predictable and ordered life would not be a human one and also terribly boring in its sameness; one of the attempts of AI and their Tech builders is to make people believe that the virtural worlds they are making are, well, real. They are neither real nor best for humans.
It sounds counter-intuitive, as your essay pointed out, but chaos is necessary for human consciousness and for understanding ourselves and our surroundings. The order is found in the chaos; the beauty is found in the continual interaction between order and chaos.
What leads humans astray, down the wroung path of reason and order, is a belief that a capital T truth exists and can be found and put in a bottle for sale.
It doesn’t take much. A kind word, an act of love that nudged me in a better direction. Imagine if we had more than a few moments to remember-our earth would look more radiant than the northern lights flickering in beautiful sparkling light. And all because of the gentle flutter of love being sent to all.
So brilliant again, Veronika! I really love the chart that is forming with each post and spending time contemplating all the patterns and connections within it. One thing that came to mind as I read the post is that human birth might be an initial condition (of trauma). Going from womb space into air and light and differing temperatures and really all that external sensory input must surely create some sort of traumatic initial condition.
I've read this part several times. Had to put on my eclipse glasses - brilliant stuff 😎
"an understanding of our own Consciousness as a dynamical nonlinear system, made up of fractal patterns, webbed with positive feedback, and blessed with a sensitive dependence on initial conditions." An excellent synopsis of such a complex (chaotic!) topic.
All feedback is positive, and EVERYTHING is feedback. Especially the "negative" feedback - because it points directly to the dissonance that is ripe to be felt/seen/heard/unraveled.
Thank you! You're absolutely right. Everything is feedback. Positive feedback on negative experience = negative feedback (in the felt experience), and THAT's the most important information we need ~ I like the way you put it: "the dissonance that is ripe..." 💕🙏
Wow, thank you! I had to read this a few times. The constantly expanding universe in the fractal of chaos. I totally agree with fractal versus spiral or circle. It’s only through chaos that we find the eye of the storm. In the centre of that labyrinth our life will tell us who we are. Brilliant writing and I love those eight places on The Noctarine map. I’m ready to dive into those colours and the inner consciousness.. 🙏❤️

Absolutely. You captured some great essentials there.
It is especially counterintuitive in response to things like our own negative experience... or any symptoms of dis-ease...
Putting it in a bottle makes it a lowercase t.

Thank you Jenna!! "human birth might be an initial condition (of trauma)"
You hit the nail right on its proverbial head...
Thank you for being with me on this journey 💕🙏
And btw did you see my interview on unbekoming about Synchronosophy?
Just published this morning

*Or “re-revaled;” depending on perspective.
re-revealed?

me too! A lot of stuff in there I had to get my head around 🤔💭
"In the centre of that labyrinth our life will tell us who we are."
Thank you, Jamie for diving into those colours with me 💕🙏
